CLASSICAL INDIA (12 nights / 13 days)

Day 01: Delhi

On arrival in Delhi, you will be will be transferred to your hotel, rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 02: Delhi

Today you will proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. Visit the magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Jamuna The tour continues to Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques and which is viewed from the outside, later enjoy a joy ride on a cycle rickshaw through the narrow bustling lanes of Chandani Chowk. Later visit Qutab Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. The tour also includes a drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, the President's residence, evening is at leisure.

Day 03: Delhi - Varanasi

You will be transferred to airport to board your flight for Varanasi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon you will visit Sarnath, is where the Buddha preached his first sermon after he gained Enlightenment.

You will also visit the Museum has the Ashok Pillar with its four guardian lions, now national emblem of Independent India. Later this evening you will visit the Ghats at the Ganges River to witness an evening Aarti ceremony (River Ganges is worshipped ceremoniously), overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Varanasi - Khajuraho

Early this you will enjoy a boat cruise on the river Ganges. Following a boat cruise you will visit the Kashi-Vishwanath Temple, the most sacred of shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, the patron deity of Varanasi. Later today you will be transferred to airport to board your flight for Khajuraho. Arrive & transfer to your hotel, later visit the World famous Khajuraho temples built by Chandela Kings in the mid-10th and 11th centuries. Evening enjoy a sound and light show at the Khajuraho temples.

Day 05: Khajuraho - Jhansi - Agra

This morning you will be transferred to Jhansi railway station (172 Kms/5-6 hrs) to board Shatabdi Express for Agra. Enroute you will visit the Orchha temples & Datia caves. Arrive Agra and transfer to your hotel.

Day 06: Agra

This Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of Agra, visit the Agra fort, Built by the great Emperor Akbar, proceed to the Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Afternoon is at leisure for shopping and individual activities.

Day 07: Agra - Jaipur

This morning you will drive to the pink city of Jaipur (221 kms/5 hrs), enroute you will visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Proceed to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Later this evening you will visit Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic Rajasthani village on the outskirts of Jaipur.

Day 08: Jaipur

This morning visit the Amber fort, built in 16th century, enjoy an elephant ride at Amber. Drive past the Hawa Mahal, a Palace of winds. In the afternoon you will visit the city palace and museum, walk to adjacent Jantar Mantar an astronomical observatory. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 09: Jaipur - Jodhpur

Early this morning you will drive to Jodhpur (332 kms/7 hrs), enroute you will stop to visit the holy towns of Pushkar & Ajmer. Visit the Pushkar Lake & a Brahma temple in Pushkar, while in Ajmer visit the Dargah of Salim Chisti. Evening is at leisure.

Day 10: Jodhpur

This morning you will visit the Majestic Mehrangarh Fort, sprawled across a 125 meter high hill and is the most impressive and formidable fort in the fortstudded Rajasthan, continue to Jaswant Thada a cluster of Royal cenotaphs built in 1899. Rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight : Hotel in Jodhpur

Day 11: Jodhpur - Udaipur

Drive to Udaipur (259 kms/6 hrs) a capital of former Princely state of Mewar, enroute stop to visit the world famous exquisitely carved Ranakpur Jain Temples, known for its 1444 pillar hall. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Lake city of Udaipur on your own.

Day 12: Udaipur

Morning visit the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, proceed to Jagdish temple & the Museum, lastly visit the Sahelion Ki Bari or "Garden of the Maids of Honour. In the evening enjoy a boat ride on the picturesque lake Pichola (Subject to water level in lake Pichola).

Overnight : Hotel in Udaipur

Day 13: Depart Udaipur
Transfer to airport/railway station to board train/flight for your onward destination.
