Day 01: Cochin

On arrival Cochin you will be transferred to your hotel.

Later evening witness the Kathakali dance.

Day 02: Cochin - Periyar

Morning half day city tour of Cochin with visit to the Dutch Palace, The Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and The Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline, at the harbour's mouth, one can also view the unique and still in use "Chinese fishing nets" which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th century.

Later proceed for Periyar. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening boat cruise on lake Periyar, which are the usual way of touring the wildlife sanctuary.

Day 03: Periyar - Kumarakom

Morning visit to the Periyar wildlife sanctuary (185 kms/4 hours), which is one of the most important and frequently visited in India. A pleasant escape from the rigors of India travel, a nice place to cruise on the lake, and an opportunity to see some wildlife as well as enjoy a jungle walk as well seeing spice plantations - Periyar offers them all.

Afternoon drive to Kumarakom. On arrival check in at the hotel. Kumarakom is on the eastern shore of Vembanad Lake, which is a bird sanctuary.

Day 04: Kumarakom

After breakfast, explore this exotic destination, which is famous not only for the resort where you will be staying but also for the charming little bird sanctuary, which plays host to a variety of migratory birds and to take the various ayurvedic treatments in the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Kumarakom - House Boat

Afternoon transfer to the boat for a cruise through many canals and waterways up to Alleppey. The backwater cruise in a country boat is the best way to explore the villages and rural life. In Alleppey you will be taken aboard your floating houseboat, a different boat with a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your comfort. Enjoy unlimited surfing on backwaters, sip a coconut, get disturbed by only the chirping of birds and occasional ripples in water and savor mouth watering delicacies prepared in front of you by your Kitchen crew. Spend the night on board the houseboat.

Overnight : on board the House Boat

Day 06: House Boat - Mararikulam

Morning onboard the houseboat in Alleppey. Later transfer to Marari Beach Resort. On arrival check in at the resort. Day at leisure.

Overnight : Hotel in Mararikulam

Day 07: Mararikulam - Cochin

After breakfast transfer to Cochin airport to board flight for onward destination.
