Delhi is the headquarters of the Northern Railways and is a chief railway junction as per the railway map of the country, India. The two main Railway Terminals in the capital town of India are-New Delhi Railway Station and the other one being Old Delhi Railway Station. They connect the town with the leading cities in the country. Besides these main railway terminals there are others like Sarai Rohilla, Nizamuddin Railway Station and Anand Vihar Railway terminal. From the New Delhi Railway Station you can board the Rajdhani Express that links the metro cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Patna and Indore. Trains commuting are running full all round the year. For this reason prior reservation is recommended to avoid any last minute hassle. Super fast trains like Shtabdi Express are also available at regular intervals that takes you to different cities like Amritsar, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Haridwar and several other cities. Delhi is also well connected to its neighboring places like Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon through the superb technology of Metro, which have trains plying at regular intervals.
